Over recent years a new and regular feature on many news bulletins is the subject of identity theft.
Identity theft is not a new phenomenon but in recent years, as a direct result of the rapid increases, its profile has been raised significantly. Many argue that in the world of digital data and online transactions the risk of identity theft is significantly greater than ever before.
There have also been many stories where data has been lost or stolen from computer systems, many are the Government's, and the increased risks of identity theft as a result.
Whilst there are no absolute ways to prevent an identity being stolen, there are steps that everyone must take to ensure their risks are minimised.
